This was my first job in games. I worked as part of massive team of writers to dream up (amongst other things) literally hundreds of bizarre and gruesome ways to murder somebody. Criminal Case was a hugely successful hidden object crime game with multiple seasons and thousands of characters - so it was practically a writing factory. As a true crime podcast fan this was a dream come true. On a tight schedule I created characters, designed season arcs and planned out the hidden object scenes.
The main challenge with this game was working as part of a really huge team, so we had to align of plans for the characters, the tone of voice and whether we could even keep them alive. But it was great fun, really collaborative (and a truly lovely bunch of people) and I couldn't have had a more educating first game experience!
I also got to live in Paris, which was just paradise.
