I worked on the sci-fi tower defence strategy game IDUN in 2024. As the lead writer I was responsible for writing all in-game texts, whilst creating the character voices and developing the overall plot. As a narrative designer I was responsible for designing the overall narrative wrapper of the game and working with the dev team to create gripping story quests. A classic sci-fi adventure filled with comedy banter between characters and an emotional storyline I'm very proud of.
A lot of the world lore had already been decided, so the main challenge with this project was creating an emotionally engaging storyline which fit within the existing world and enhanced the intense action gameplay. I overcame this by keeping the dialogue tight, using strong archetypes for the characters and making sure the plot worked with the gameplay.
